What a fantastic day!
In a ‘flatish’ field in North Wales with the summer sun beating down our Wynnstay members rode beautifully, accurately and a with SMILE.
From riding a test to a quick photo shoot in Cavallo and Uvex, it was quite an event.
In the Open class Zennor Harvey came 3rd in a highly competitive arena. Zennor made the very difficult Intermediate test look effortless on Gio, 17+hh horse. Well done Zennor!
The Grassroots competition was very strong with many individuals and multiple teams from other pony clubs taking part. Eva Matson competed as an individual on her 2 ponies. Our Grassroots team of Lydia Ibbeston, Jemina Young, Jasmine Newsome and Daisy Holland Hewlett had worked extremely hard over the past month to master the test and the all-important 20m circle! With listed judges in the driving seats our riders needed to put all their recently gained experience to the test.
In arena D Jemina and Rover finished 3rd, Lydia and Bubbles 7th, Eva and Fergal 11th and Popcorn 13th.
In arena C Jasmine and Bonnie finished 5th, Daisy and Dave 6th.
Our final collective team score put us into 3rd place, qualifying for the Grassroots Champs. Yippee. Brilliant effort from all the girls, ponies and especially parents. Eland Lodge here we come!
