About the Wynnstay Branch

The national Pony Club is divided into 19 local areas, and the Wynnstay is one of 14 branches in  Area 5 - which covers Cheshire, the Wirral & North Wales including Anglesey.

We exist to encourage young people to have fun, make friends, ride well and care for their horses and ponies.  Our members range from 3 to 19 years.

The Branch is run by two District Commissioners (DCs) and a committee of volunteers.  Good-value tuition in most of the equestrian disciplines is provided in small groups of members similar ability, by professional instructors.

We offer training and the chance to compete in Eventing, Dressage, Showjumping, Tetrathlon, Horse & Pony Care, and have a particularly strong tradition of success in Mounted Games.  Our branch team colours are primrose and navy.

The highlight of the year for many members is Camp, held in late July and split into Junior (day camp) and Senior (overnight camping in tents or lorries) sections.

Membership of the Pony Club carries comprehensive liability insurance for you and your pony.  The Pony Club is a registered charity number 1050146.
